Millingtons is now part of a network of funeral homes, cremation facilities and cemeteries owned by Propel Funeral Partners, which extends to all states of Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, Propel Funeral Partners is one of the largest providers of funeral and related services in Australia and New Zealand.

Our Team

Travis Tann

General Manager

Travis joined the Millingtons Funerals team in 2010 and became our Funeral Services Manager in 2013 before becoming General Manager for both Millingtons Funerals Pty Ltd and Millingtons Cemeteries Pty Ltd in 2016. He started in the funeral industry in Hobart in 1996 and qualified as an Embalmer in 1998 before obtaining Membership to the Australian Institute of Embalming Pty Ltd. He also was active as a Director on the board of the Australian Institute of Embalming Pty Ltd from 2008 to 2015, holding the position of Vice Chairman from 2011. Travis also holds Executive positions in both the State and National Divisions of the Australian Funeral Directors Association having previously been State President (Tasmanian Division) and Junior Vice President (National) and National Councillor. He is passionate about high-quality funeral care as well as funeral education and training.

He is married with two adult children. In his spare time, he enjoys time with family and friends sharing good food and wine. He also enjoys water skiing and time at the family shack on Great Lake.

Tamara Whitehead

Cemetery Manager

Tamara started working at Cornelian Bay Cemetery with the Southern Regional Cemetery Trust in 2002. When Millingtons acquired the management in 2008 she moved into the senior position of Cemetery Services Manager in 2009. Tamara has been our Cemetery Manager since 2016. Tamara manages our Crematorium and our five Cemeteries. She provides leadership to our Memorial/ Monumental Consultants, Administration team, our Outdoor Grounds maintenance team, and our onsite Monumental Stonemasons.

Tamara’s wealth of knowledge and experience of cemetery management also contributes to her role as a member of ACCA (Australasian Cemeteries and Crematoria Association). Tamara is passionate about providing excellent guidance, customer service and assistance to our client families.

Monique Gregory

Funeral Operations Manager

Monique started her career in the funeral industry with Millingtons in 2012. She was promoted to Senior Funeral Arranger in 2020, before stepping into the role of Funeral Operations Manager in 2022. Monique takes pride in providing the best support for our Funeral Team, from our Administration Team to our Funeral Arranging Team. Along with this, she provides attentive and thoughtful care for all our families through her learnt experience from varying roles throughout her time in the funeral industry. When she’s not with us at work, Monique enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors and going to the shack.

Alex Gjocaj

Embalmer
Alex started in the funeral industry in 1993 and qualified as an embalmer in 1995. He has worked for various funeral firms in Hobart over that time, including managing his own business, Clark and Jotsay. He re-joined the Millingtons team in 2019 as our Senior Embalmer. Alex is currently a Director of the Australian Institute of Embalming and mentor to embalming students. His reputation in mortuary skill has seen him deployed overseas on several occasion to assist in mass fatality incidents. In his spare time he teaches Karate and is a 5th Dan Black belt.
