MILLINGTONS COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAM

Millington’s Community Care Program (MCCP) has a number of programs and services throughout the year to engage with the community. We invite you and your family to attend all or any of the following which you feel might be helpful.

Millingtons hold an annual Christmas Memorial Service open to the whole community. This non-denominational service is conducted in unison with clergy and celebrants so different faiths and beliefs are represented.

The service is usually conducted on the third Saturday in December and is followed by complimentary refreshments. It is an opportunity to gather with people who can share, support and comfort each other at a time of year when our thoughts are with loved ones who are no longer with us.

For further details call Millingtons on 6211 4888.

For many who have lost a parent, these days may not be a cause for celebration, but rather for reflection. Join us on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for our annual services. Each are held at 10:30am on their respective days. We invite you to celebrate your father or mother during this special memorial service.

Please phone 6211 4888 to RSVP for catering purposes.

All Souls Day is a significant event in the Catholic Church calendar, commemorating the faithful departed. Leaders from the Catholic Church, along with Millingtons, conduct All Souls Day service on November 2 each year at the Wellington Chapel at Cornelian Bay.

Bookings are required for catering purposes. Please phone (03) 62114888.

We currently host a Morning Tea Group where we invite you to join us and others who are recently bereaved, for a cuppa, cake and a chat each fortnight. Bookings are essential and the cost is covered by the Millingtons Community Care Program.

To make your booking, please call 6211 4888 or email mccp@millingtons.com.au.

The Open Day, which aims to educate the public about the workings of the Cemetery, includes tours of the crematorium and historic Cornelian Bay Cemetery. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

For more information or for bookings of the tours (which are essential) please phone the Cemetery Office on 6278 1244.
