Service booklets, also known as Orders of Service booklets, are not only a guide and outline of the service itself but importantly a keepsake for you, your family and friends. Traditionally they were introduced instead of hymn books, however nowadays they reflect much more - photos, poems, prayers, readings, a favourite football emblem or a meaningful quote, which symbolises the life of your loved one.
Orders of Service are printed in colour and/or black and white, with families often including an invitation to their friends to join them for refreshments afterwards. The booklet becomes a tribute to the life being celebrated and can also be sent to those who are unable to attend the funeral service.
Millingtons provides you with a personalised condolence register. This is a valuable reminder of those family and friends who were there to share the day with you.
The Minister/Celebrant will be another source of advice and information as to the content of the booklet. During your meeting with them they will discuss a range of issues, one being the nature and content of the service which will be contained in the booklet including prayers, reading etc.
