A haven of peace in a tranquil setting. Kingston Cemetery offers a range of burial sites and memorial gardens including lawn burials, traditional monumental areas, rose beds, niche walls and gardens.
This cemetery will undergo significant development in the future, but today offers the full range of cemetery options in a growing community.
Kingston Cemetery predominately offers lawn burials with the peace of mind of a stable foundation to support the commemorative plaque. The Cemetery also offers both full monumental burial sites as well as a limited monumental area set on the gentle slopes overlooking the water and rural settings of Kingston and Blackman’s Bay. Burial sites may be purchased at need or can be pre-paid for your convenience.
Graves are available as single, double or triple depth options. When arranging the first internment you may wish to consider future interments to ensure the grave is dug to the required depth.
A Bushland Burial is a simple, informal, natural and non-traditional form of burial or cremated remains placements. The landscape remains basically undisturbed as burials are integrated into native bushland, thus allowing the natural landscape to play a part in the grieving process.
Currently our bushland burial options are only available at our Kingston Cemetery, which offer a simple, natural and environmentally sustainable option.
A commemorative plaque is placed on the commemorative wall which is located at the entrance to the Bushland Burial site. The grave is marked with a bush stone/rock with the name inscribed onto it. A tree/shrub can also be planted at the head of the burial site.
Burial monumental works are not permitted at this site.
Rose bed gardens and Native Gardens are available throughout the cemetery, with new areas being developed as required. The Gazebo gardens are situated at the entrance of the cemetery and offer a calm and beautiful vista toward the Derwent River. Situated next to the gardens we also offer the simplicity of niche wall placements for your loved ones resting place.
“A memorial is an extremely valuable and essential link between the past and the future.”
Memories are precious and should be shared with future generations. A memorial is an item of beauty and great dignity which provides a focus for grieving and a point of reference to a person’s entire existence.
Millingtons offers a comprehensive range of memorial options, for lawns, garden sites, feature gardens and niche walls. All memorials have the same essential purpose and that is to provide a permanent symbol of remembrance.
Inscriptions on memorials can record all sorts of information including achievements, services and lifestyle. This information is valuable for future generations as well as a historical record.
Various sizes and designs are available to you with an extensive library of motifs, emblems, borders and badges. Traditionally plaques have a brown lacquer finish but the option for coloured backgrounds is available to you.
Garden memorials are set onto plinths and placed throughout the cemetery at various memorial gardens.

Kingston Cemetery offers above ground burial crypts.
A unique and increasingly popular option, each purchase includes the granite panel for inscription memorialisation, two flower tribute vases, eternal flame and a ceramic portrait frame.
Further development to extend the Crypts is currently underway and construction will commence in the near future.
