Travis joined the Millingtons Funerals team in 2010 and became our Funeral Services Manager in 2013 before becoming General Manager for both Millingtons Funerals Pty Ltd and Millingtons Cemeteries Pty Ltd in 2016. He started in the funeral industry in Hobart in 1996 and qualified as an Embalmer in 1998 before obtaining Membership to the Australian Institute of Embalming Pty Ltd. He also was active as a Director on the board of the Australian Institute of Embalming Pty Ltd from 2008 to 2015, holding the position of Vice Chairman from 2011. Travis also holds Executive positions in both the State and National Divisions of the Australian Funeral Directors Association having previously been State President (Tasmanian Division) and Junior Vice President (National) and National Councillor. He is passionate about high-quality funeral care as well as funeral education and training.
He is married with two adult children. In his spare time, he enjoys time with family and friends sharing good food and wine. He also enjoys water skiing and time at the family shack on Great Lake.
Tamara started working at Cornelian Bay Cemetery with the Southern Regional Cemetery Trust in 2002. When Millingtons acquired the management in 2008 she moved into the senior position of Cemetery Services Manager in 2009. Tamara has been our Cemetery Manager since 2016. Tamara manages our Crematorium and our five Cemeteries. She provides leadership to our Memorial/ Monumental Consultants, Administration team, our Outdoor Grounds maintenance team, and our onsite Monumental Stonemasons.
Tamara’s wealth of knowledge and experience of cemetery management also contributes to her role as a member of ACCA (Australasian Cemeteries and Crematoria Association). Tamara is passionate about providing excellent guidance, customer service and assistance to our client families.
Louise joined the Millingtons Funerals team in 2020 as our Funeral Operations Manager. She has been in the funeral industry in Hobart since 2005. Louise is passionate about assisting families through the complexities of the grieving process and providing exemplary quality of support and care during and post funeral service. She is an advocate and lived experience suicide prevention speaker and ambassador for several organisations including Beyond Blue and Roses in the Ocean and served on the lifeline suicide response committee. She is a proud Mum of two and enjoys beach life and exploring Tasmania’s beautiful wineries and eateries.
Krysta commenced employment with Millingtons in March 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts, majoring in Accounting and Political Science from the University of Tasmania. Krysta is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and is a graduate of the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Krysta comes to Millingtons with over twenty years of experience in financial management, comprising a broad range of roles in various sectors including: Federal Government, Public Practice, Higher Education, Not-for-Profit and the Corporate Sector both interstate and in Tasmania.
Krysta is passionate about financial strategy and the implementation of better practice financial management delivered through the effective utilization of people, processes and systems.
Outside of work, Krysta is mum to two very active boys and spends at lot of time at either the beach or the mountain bike tracks around Tasmania.
